12.1 megapixel digital stills camera with 12x optical zoom

Continuing the extremely popular high-zoom compact range of stills cameras, the TZ10 is the most feature-packed model in the new range. It features a 25mm wide-angle 12x optical zoom f/3.3-4.9 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens (35mm camera equivalent: 25-300mm) in a compact body. The 25mm wide-angle lens shows about twice the shooting area of the standard 35mm lens. The powerful 12x zoom can also be used in motion picture recording. In 3-megapixel resolution mode, the Extra Optical Zoom function provides additional magnification, extending the zoom power to 23.4x by using the center part of the CCD.

The DMC-TZ10 can record HD movie of 720P in AVCHD Lite with high sound quality of Digital Stereo Creator. Motion JPEG format is also available (1,280 x 720 pixels). Just press the Motion Picture Button, and shooting begins. The iA Mode can also be activated in motion picture recording. When the DMC- TZ10 is connected to a Panasonic VIERA via an optional mini HDMI cable, the TV's remote control unit can be used to enjoy playing back with greater convenience.

The DMC-TZ10 features the Travel Mode function with GPS. You can quickly go into the Travel Mode from the top menu and organize various information related to your travel. When shooting, the photo location and local time information from GPS is recorded in the photo. When playing back, automatic sort & slideshow by shooting location is possible. In addition, P/A/S/M Mode for more creative shots is added to the DMC-TZ10. You can enjoy shooting when travelling even before you know it.

The DMC-FS33 features a 28mm wide-angle 8x optical zoom LUMIX DC VARIO lens (35mm camera equivalent: 28-224mm).

The 28mm wide-angle lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures and scenes with dynamic width and rich perspective. The 8x optical zoom lens captures beautiful shots of people or landscapes with 14.1-megapixel resolution. The Extra Optical Zoom function uses the center part of the CCD to extend this 8x zoom ratio to powerful 16.9x zoom at a resolution of 3-megapixel or less.

The DMC-FS33 incorporates a 3.0-inch, 230,000-dot touch-screen interface. While shooting, auto focus and exposure can be set by simply touching the subject at that part to activate the AF/AE. While playing back, you can quickly select an image to view by scrolling images. The DMC-FS33 also features Intelligent LCD. It automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions. This LCD provides sharp, clear images in virtually all shooting situations, ranging from night time to bright daylight scenes.

The 28mm wide-angle lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures and scenes with dynamic width and rich perspective. The 5x optical zoom lens captures beautiful shots of people or landscapes with 12.1-megapixel resolution. The Extra Optical Zoom function uses the center part of the CCD to extend this 5x zoom ratio to powerful 9.8x zoom at a resolution of 3-megapixel or less.

To realize the Sonic Speed AF, a number of re-engineering and improvements are made including the adaptation of higher-speed actuator, the optimization of algorithms and the parallelization of software processing element. The result is ultra high speed yet accurate AF performance for you to enjoy the airy shooting that has experienced never before. Panasonic also replaced its linear program processing with parallel processing to achieve an ultra high-speed start-up time.

Panasonic’s “G” series is the latest range of micro 4/3 cameras, which offers SLR quality images from a more compact system.

The DMC-G2 features a touch-screen operation with 3.0-inch free-angle LCD featuring Full-time Live View and high-speed Contrast AF System. While shooting, auto focus can be set at the desired part of the frame by simply touching the subject to activate the AF in both photo and movie recording. In manual operation, aperture and shutter speed can be set to the desired value by moving the slider. While playing back, you can quickly select an image to view by scrolling images. The DMC-G2 has a 1,440,000-dot equivalent LVF (Live View Finder), too.

The 4/3-type 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor is advantageous for photo and movie recording with its high S/N, thanks to a circuit structure that is unaffected by the noise generated in each of the circuits. The Intelligent Resolution Technology, incorporated in the Venus Engine HD II, determines the subject's contours and colour edges, and emphasizes them during image processing. This lets you capture stunning images with details. The Dust Reduction System helps maintain image quality by placing a Supersonic Wave Filter in front of the sensor.

The Dust Reduction System helps maintain image quality by placing a Supersonic Wave Filter in front of the sensor. An image processing LSI, Venus Engine HD, incorporates two CPUs. This does not only boost image processing speed, it also helps achieve an exceptional noise-reduction performance. Also, it allows long-time movie recording in AVCHD Lite while maintaining low power consumption.
