Panasonic’s new range of Blu-ray recorders are the perfect compliment to the new range of TVs. A standard DVD recorder won’t allow recording of the HD TV channels, even if you have them built into your TV. For the first time, these recorders come with twin Freeview HD tuners, so you can now record two programmes at the same time, whilst watching a third on your new HD TV!

The DMR-BW780 has a 250gb hard drive, which allows recording of up to 35 hours of high definition content. The DMR-BW880 has a massive 500gb hard drive, so you can record over 70 hours of HD programming.

The Blu-ray recorder allows 35-hour long time archiving in HM mode. This is convenient for saving hard disk space. In HM mode, a maximum of 35 hours of high definition recording data can be transferred onto a 50gb Blu-ray disc (Format: BD-RE DL/BD-R DL).

The new DVD recorder ranges continues Panasonic’s tradition of high quality, feature packed but easy to use products.

The 250gb hard drive built in to the DMR-EX83 allows up to 441 hours worth of recording in EP mode (approx 115 hours in SP mode), while the DMR-EX773 has a 160gb hard drive to allow up to 279 hours of recording in EP (approx 72 in SP).

The Freeview tuner is controlled via an easy to use, intuitive electronic programme guide (EPG), so setting timer recordings couldn’t be simpler.

If the recorder is connected to the TV using a HDMI lead, the signal up-converted to 1080 x 1920p HD format video data. This conversion to HD format increases the richness of the original data by approximately six fold, and produces the highest possible image quality when viewing content on a large-screen HDTV.

The 250gb hard drive built in to the DMR-EX99 allows up to 441 hours worth of recording in EP mode (approx 115 hours in SP mode).

Both products allow for easy transfer of VHS video recordings on to DVD disc, so you can archive those precious memories. The Freeview tuner is controlled via an easy to use, intuitive electronic programme guide (EPG), so setting timer recordings couldn’t be simpler.
